“Our on-premise product needs to go to the Cloud.” That is the challenge of Limis from Enschede. For 25 years they have been making software for the manufacturing industry, where the application is used for planning and organizing production. Many large factories and production companies in the Netherlands have been using the software and knowledge of Limis for years.

“We are increasingly being asked for a SaaS solution. We are happy to seize that opportunity, but then you need the necessary extra capacity and knowledge.” says Hans ter Brug. He is the founder of Limis and knows the software inside out. In the autumn of 2022, owners Hans and Jur ten Brug submitted a pilot project to DevRepublic that allowed DevRepublic to show what the approach is like, how a collaboration works and show concrete results. They were satisfactory, so that a permanent DevRepublic team will start working for Limis from January 1.

Developers in India, managed from Zwolle
The developers of DevRepublic will work for the long term on the cloud application with which Limis can provide software to more parties in the manufacturing industry.
The start of the Limis team is supervised by the DevRepublic colleagues in Zwolle. They provide a structured working method (scrum/agile) and thus help the development of Limis to a higher level.

Limis is enthusiastic about working with remote colleagues. Jur ter Brug: “We describe the requirements, transfer them and DevRepublic delivers the work. This makes us very happy, because it forces us to think even better about our product and there is constant development going on. The colleagues in Zwolle make it very easy for us, we focus on the product and they provide the right processes.”
