Hello everyone! My name is Urja Sheth. I am 30 years old and currently working as Sr. iOS Developer at DevRepublic for almost 2 years. I have total 6+ years of experience in iOS application development. As a iOS developer my skills are iOS App development, Swift language, Objective C, Apple services, firebase, core database, App release process for App Store. I also have basic knowledge of React native. I love to travel a lot and In my free times I like spending time with friends/cousins, watching movies and web series.

I joined DevRepublic in Covid times so I never worked from office from home, which saves me traveltime and give me productivity and most of all it reduces risk of infection. On the other hand hope to meet my collegeaus soon. But even when working from home Company environment is very friendly and very supportive colleagues. Also here is a work and family life balance.

My working day starts with the cup of tea and then checking Teams messages and mails. Then we have team meeting to discuss on projects we are working and also discuss any difficulties faced by any team mates.

Working with DevRepublic means you work with Dutch people as well. Dutch people seem to be very strait forward and believe in work life balance. I am happy for working with dutch people. I didn’t tried anything Dutch yet but have seen photos of flower gardens of Netherlands and its really beautiful. India is quite a lot more hierarchical. Within companies, and between companies, there is a certain communication level hierarchy, which is different to a flatter organisational culture we experience in the Dutch culture.

Since it is very first time I am getting Employee of the month November 2021 this is really feeling great. I will enjoy it.
